Eid-i-Milad-un Nabi Celebrations
Religious events are an integral part of our regular school activities.
A grand 'Milad' was the culmination event of the celebrations of Rabi-ul-Awal.
The students were introduced to the teachings of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a role model in the morning assemblies throughout the month.
Annual Sports Day
Games and sports are not only important for success at home but it is important for success in every walk of our life. Sports foster competitive spirit and sportsmanship which is an important part of a student's life.
Allama Iqbal Week
GSR believes in remembering our national heroes and guides its young learners to show reverence and learn lesson from their life. The poet of East Allama Muhammad Iqbal was paid homage in a week long celebration.
International Day of Tolerance
On this day, we are reminded of the need to exhibit and practice tolerance everyday be it at our homes, schools, workplaces or at public places.
Universal Children's Day
The students were made aware of their rights and responsibilities through discussions, enactments and songs.
Sports Day, Junior Section, Lalazar Branch
GSR's Sports Day is an annual affair. Students take part in various games and different kind of races. These annual sports foster competitive spirit and sportsmanship which are an important part of a student's life.
Prefects Investiture and Award Day 2015, Senior Section, Chaklala Branch
The theme of the presentations was 'Empowerment of Women' which is one of the Millennium Development Goals. The presentation to honour Flying Officer Mariam Mukhtiar involved movement and dance, based on the experience of women who break their shackles, overcome daunting obstacles and create for themselves a space where they can function in the society as enabled individuals.
International Teacher's Day
Every year in order to acknowledge the services rendered by the teachers the International Teacher's Day is celebrated all over the world on 5th October. The students of GSR also celebrated this day with great vigour. There were colourful assembly presentations in which the little learners paid homage to their teachers.
World Food Day, 16th October, 2015
To make students aware about the benefits of a balanced diet, harmful effects of junk food and the importance of not wasting food, special assemblies were held.
The children were also informed about the message of World Food Day: "Food security for everyone", no one should go to bed without food.
Graduation ceremony, Chaklala Junior Section
The little stars of class Prep had their graduation ceremony on 31st October, 2015. Learners from each class had prepared delightful and enlightening presentations and it was delightful to watch them perform confidently on the stage.
On this occasion The School Director, Mrs Nasreen Iqbal, congratulated the little graduates and their parents and highlighted the importance of adopting basic moral values like sharing and being gentle and compassionate in order to develop a healthy society.

Defence Day of Pakistan
Defence day was celebrated at all branches with the aim of developing a feeling of patriotism and inspire the little learners to become the future defenders of Pakistan.
Quaid-e-Azam's Death Anniversary
The founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was paid a tribute at GSR by celebrating the Quaid's week. A variety of assembly presentations which included quizzes,enactments and his inspirational messages for the students and youth of Pakistan.The learners shared information and made drawings to show their love and reverence for the beloved Quaid and vowed to follow his messages to turn Pakistan into the dram land of their leader.
Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha
As the sacred month of Zil Hajj commenced, the students at GSR busied themselves for their presentations about Eidul-Adha and Hajj. There was a series of colourful and informative presentations by the students of all classes.
International Peace Day
At GSR peace making is our foremost concern.Students had interesting and useful activities bringing home an awareness about the importance of peace at social, national and international level.
Open Days-Chaklal Junior
The mothers were invited to visit the school to watch their children at work in the classroom. They were happy to see their toddlers behaving in a responsible way and being busy in healthy and interesting activities.
Map skills contest
In our quest for teaching our student's global citizenship, a lot of emphasis is put on teaching of map reading skills. This helps to make them aware of their identity and importance in the world.

Memorial Reference for Maj.Muzamil Bashir(Shaheed)
Maj.Muzamil,of the Army Aviation Corps and alumnus of GSR(batch of 1996) embraced Shadat in a helicopter crash near Mansehra on 6th August,2015.
GSR Lalazar branch is holding a reference to honour his memory on Monday,7th September,2015 from 9.00 a.m. to 10 a.m..Any classmates and friends of Muzamil who are reading this,please spare time and participate in the event.
